All the Wolves Want for Christmas . . .
A full roster.
Amazing that we will need to wait to 2026 to see the Waterloo
Wolves full roster, maybe! That said, the Wolves collected one more point
before the holiday shutdown with a 4 to 4 tie against the London Jr Knights
Green.
For the first time this season, and hopefully the last, both
Wolves goalies were unavailable. Ciaran Guitton-Quayle was out with injury and
Jake Howard was in Chicago watching an epic come back to win in overtime performance
by the Bears.
So, the Wolves started U16 AA goalie Rowan McGill and McGill
showed he was anything but intimidated playing an age level up. McGill made
some fantastic saves in the game and was only beaten on breakdowns by the
Wolves. It was a steller performance by the goaltender.
Antonio Parisi continued to impress with another highlight
reel goal with Hiatt Rich earning an assist. Allan Wang scored a rocket after a
nice pass from Carter Talboom. Owen Ottens scored his first since returning
from injury scoring from Wang and Casey Ross. Reed Rozema put the final touches
on a beautiful passing play from Grayson Seiling and Cam Murray.
Ben Schofield was able to move back to forward with the
return of Christopher Ding and Jackson Hunter. Despite a minor injury Cole
Gardiner was able to play as well. Jimmy Provencher once again played to help
the team as well.
The Wolves coaches would like to wish all the players and
their families a very merry Christmas. This season has been one injury after
another but the players, and families, continued to support the team and make
memories. It has truly been an amazing season to get to know everyone better!
Here is to health!
