The U11 AA Wolves go 2 wins -1 loss and defeat the top teams....
With a valiant effort, the young Wolves showed up flat in the opening game on a Friday night against a strong Peterborough Petes AA team.
The Wolves decided to make amends and destroy the Nepean Raiders AA team in an opening Saturday morning tilt to start a strong Saturday, winning 5-3.
Knowing they were facing the undefeated North Durham Warriors AA team who earlier beat the Peterborough Petes AA team, that handled the Wolves on the Friday night, that the battle was going to be fierce.
The young Wolves came out flying playing their system to a T. Forchecking, backchecking and getting a paycheck the North Durham Warriors had NOTHING! The young Wolves got great goaltending, outstanding defence and a relentless offence that came in waves of destruction.
With a final 1-0 win over a top tier undefeated team, the Wolves were confident to take the tourney. Quickly disappointment showed by not making the finals due to goal differential. This will fuel the Wolves' drive to go into their league play and take out their upset on every team they play!
Well done Wolves as you have proven, over and over again, that we can dance with the best!!
