Wolves Do Well at Waterloo Memorial Tournament
This past weekend the boys competed in their '1st home tournament'.
They came away with a 3-2 record after losing the semi final match up to strong Alliance rival Woodstock Navy Jets.
All in all there were lots of positives in the tournament. the wolves showed great resilience after opening the tournament with a disappointing 4-3 loss to the to the Mississauga Terriers.
The 2nd game of the day saw the Wolves face a tough squad from LaSalle. the goals were a plenty for both teams in this game. Wolves got on the board often talking this one 7-4
Another early game on Saturday seen the Wolves get down 1-0 only to come back and beat Vaughan Rangers (the eventual champions) 3-1.
Saturday evenings game was a well earned win by the Wolves beating Windsor Jr. spitfires 4-1 after falling behind 1-0.
The win was good enough for the Wolves to finish the round robin with a 3-1 record to clinch 1st place.
Sunday saw another early start for the Wolves, in a tough semi final match up with Alliance rival Woodstock Nay Jets. Both teams battled hard with the wolves falling 5-2.
After this exciting weekend of hockey the boys are looking forward to moving on to league play as they look to defend their Alliance Championship from the 2018/19 season.
