Thanks for a great season!
At the start of the season I was really excited about the group of talented and smart individuals that were chosen to represent the Waterloo Major Bantam Select Wolves.
Our goal was to create a team first atmosphere and prepare for our journey to the Alliance Championships in April. Our schedule started out light, with our first tournament in London. We went all the way to the championship in London, only to come up short against a GTHL Select travel team, and only by one goal!
Our season then kicked into full gear. The season itself, saw us understand why team work was so important and how as a team we could accomplish much more than anyone of us could accomplish on our own. There were ups and downs, but we learned from our mistakes throughout the year.
Winning the championship at the Pepsi Tournament in Buffalo New York was an incredible experience for both the coaches and players. We learned at this tournament, that it not only takes teamwork, but dedication and sacrifice to achieve our goals. The team represented itself well on and off the ice at the tournament and team events.
Finally, the Alliance Championships arrived. The schedule maker's did not do us any favors, however our boys made it the 1/4 finals, by defeating the Rosedale Devils and the Hamilton Lawfield Thunder. Our opponent in the 1/4 finals Hamilton Coronation. We played an excellent game with many opportunities, our boys played as a team, worked hard and left everything on the ice only to come up just short, losing by 1 goal. Hamilton Coronation eventually went on to win the Alliance Championship and we presented them arguably with their toughest challenge on their road to victory.

I am extremely proud of the team and their acccomplishments this season, and hope that the boys are proud of themselves and can use their learnings about teamwork, dedication and sacrifice in their everday lives, I know I will.
