Red Wolves Begin Playoff Campaign with Two Wins
The Novice Red Wolves wasted little time putting their claim on first place in Tier 3 with big wins over Woodstock and Brantford on the weekend.

On Saturday, Novice Red rolled into Woodstock and took it to the Navy Vets early in the first and built up a 2-0 lead.  The Wolves would continue to pressure Woodstock in the second and battle through some questionable refereeing that saw they Wolves get a series of penalties and a penalty shot.  Daniel L-C would stand tall and keep the score 2-0 for the Wolves before handing the game over to Ty B.  Woodstock would take advantage of yet another power play early in the third to make it 2-1.  The game would remain close until late in the third when the Wolves added a security goal to make it 3-1.  Grayson P. took the hard hat for strong skating and battling hard while Lucas P. took the lunch pail for pressuring Woodstock all game.

On Sunday, the Wolves headed to the Gretzky Centre looking to exact some revenge on the Brantford franchise.  Brantford came out strong and jumped to an early 1-0, which they carried into the second period.  The Wolves would then trade goals with Brantford with the game deadlocked 2-2 heading into the third.  The Wolves would win the third and the game in convincing fashion with a final score of 5-2.  Emre A. took the hard hat for strong puck pursuit and timely goals, and Liam M. took the lunch pail for whacking sticks, strong pinches and hammering pucks at net.

Wolves have some exhibition games during the Christmas break against Twin Center and Woolwich.
