Novice, 2013-2014, Select (Waterloo Minor Hockey)

A great effort by all the boys tonight in our first game of the season. The defensemen were sturdy in front of strong goal tending from both #33 and #31. Our forwards pressed the issue with a talented Hespeler squad and kept them hemmed in their own zone for long stretches. Timely goals, plus a big pushback after Hespeler scored twice during a penalty kill. The boys never wavered in their determination to get the W, which came on a team-effort goal in the waning minutes. Next: a home game against the Burlington Bulldogs this Sunday.
