Ice cools off the Cats
The Ice Wolves played host to the Hamilton Ice Cats and came out with a much deserved win. The game was scoreless going into the 2nd period when Justin Beyer hooked up with Owen Fenton who skated wide along the boards, then cut in and took a quick shot which fooled the goalie giving the Ice Wolves the lead going into the 3rd period. Hamilton got 2 quick goals until Noah Zettler skated hard into the slot and slide the puck past a sprawling goalie to tie the game. Less than a minute later, Matt Buck went end to end and slipped the puck past the goalie for the winning goal as the Ice Wolves held off a late serge to win the game 3-2.
