Saints steal win
The Waterloo Ice Wolves lost a heartbreaker to the Brantford Saints in the Alliance playoffs over the weekend. Waterloo dominated the game right from the drop of the puck, but found themselves down 2 goals in the 2nd period. Then, Waterloo's Wes Anderson passed to Noah Zettler, who skated down the boards and let a hard wrist shot past the Brantford goalie. Moments later Ben Tomka pounced on a rebound and evened the score. Justin Beyer assisted on the goal. With the momentum on Waterloo's side, Liam Read & Reese Stanley spotted Owen Fenton behind the defense and passed him the puck. Fenton deked the goalie and gave the Ice Wolves the lead for the first time in the game. Brantford got 2 quick goals and was able to hold off Waterloo's pressure to earn the win and steal the victory.
