Ice Wolves come back to tie Kitchener
The Ice Wolves played host to the Kitchener Red Rangers and came out with a 2-2 tie in a hard fought battle between the two rivals. Kitchener opened the scoring in the first period as both teams had plenty of scoring chances to break the game wide open. Solid goaltending by Peter Waywell and Zack Jansen kept the Ice Wolves in the game until Owen Fenton found some room in the slot and roofed the puck past the Ranger goalie to tie the game. Reese Stanley and Liam Read earned the assist on the goal. Kitchener regained the lead until Waterloo's Stanley & Stephen Cresswell crashed the net and Stanley was able to poke the puck past the red line to even the score. Cresswell assisted on the tieing goal.
