2019-2020 Hockey Season Information
Hello Players and Parents,

2019-2020 is the 70th Anniversary of the Waterloo Minor Hockey Association, and we’re celebrating it in style with some exciting changes to our recreational programming!!

NEW this season:

 

Scheduling

  • Comfortable playing times and days for hockey families – No 7:00am or earlier ice times!

Wolves Branding & Team Building

  • “Wolves” team names for all teams to better build and unite our Wolves hockey family!
  • Home & Away “Wolves” jerseys


Wolves Team Selection Process 

  • Having complete transparency through the entire evaluation and team selection process. 
  • Involvement of ALL Coaching Staff and Executive Director of Recreational Hockey Junior through the entire process.
  • Continuing our goal to have 6 balanced teams to ensure all players in our division have FUN!  

New Programming

  • Interlock exhibition games and Christmas tournament vs Cambridge Minor Hockey Association teams
  • BONUS “Wolf Pack Hockey School” skill development clinics (5-6 per player) at no additional cost
  • Intuitive scheduling - Practices SATURDAY; Games SUNDAY
  • No curfews for Junior and Senior division recreational league games (except in the case of an injury)
  • Increased game lengths (10-10-15) for our division - Major PeeWee.

Player of the Month Program

  • Monthly player recognition program in association with the Kitchener RANGERS (OHL)
  • Winners receive FREE admission to a Kitchener RANGERS game in-style with exclusive access to a private, eight (8) person luxury suite, including 4 tickets and 1 VIP suite holder parking pass
