Up against AAA and AA teams from the US, the young Wolves literally fought their way through the seeded round to finish strong.
Winning their Division Final by a lopsided 4-0 win to help Canada to the Nations Cup victory over the USA!
The reffing was very inconsistent from full out body checking to a steady stream to the penalty box, but our team is certainly ready for their U14 age division, without doubt.
The Young Wolves played outstanding in every game and found themselves in a Sunday battle against a USA Team (Belle Tire) who beat them 5-4 in round robin play. The Wolves wanted redemption after a night of an all out brawl against a previous team that fired the team up and a need to battle to death.
Making the adjustment from "brawling" to hockey was a slight adjustment in the beginning as the rules changed from game to game but the Wolves had no excuses and just wanted to win....which they did in a demanding way.
