613 Meals!! And a lot of laughs!
On the last Friday before Christmas, the U15 House League
players got together for one last laugh before the Christmas break. The
Puck Palooza marked the winter solstice with a wacky skills
competition ...
that included The Slide (where stomachs met freshly zamboni’d ice), The Goalie Shoot Out (where the goalies did the shooting), and Giant Tic Tac Toe (don't ask!). Along the way, a Bench Cheering Brawl broke out, before a Relay around human pilons and The Fastest Skater (with a twist) competition. It was chaos, managed handily by our dedicated coaches and some savvy volunteers!
The kids got appropriately silly and in the process raised 613 meals for the Food Bank of Waterloo Region. Thank you to the WMHA for sponsoring this event – it was a great opportunity to celebrate our mutual love of being on the ice while doing something good for our community.
