Abdul is all smiles with his Team supporting his surgery...
Abdul came in to start his treatment the week of September 13th. He has two
clubfeet that need correcting. The first thing to do is soften the
tissues in the ankle joints by stretching them in casts before
surgery. This helps with vascular flow once the feet are brought into the
correct position. After the feet have been loosened a bit they will
schedule him for surgery. After surgery, he'll go back into casts while
the feet heal and then finally he'll be fitted in walking braces.
This is a huge opportunity for
this boy. We can't thank our players enough for taking Abdul on as an
honorary team member and working up the funds to support the surgery and supplies Abdul needs.
Abdul is so excited to see the team all cheering
for him.
