U9 Tier 1 Alliance Champions!
The young U9 Wolves went undefeated in the East/Central division this season and followed it up with an undefeated Alliance Championship win in London!

In a tournament type style, the young Wolves'

1st game was against the Sarnia Jr Sting, who also was undefeated in Alliance league play.  In a tough battle, the young Wolves pulled out a 1-0 win outshooting the Sting in a narrow margin 17-13.

Game 2 opened up later in the afternoon with the local North London Nationals.  The Wolves came ready to play and won in a dominating fashion with a 6-1 score and outshooting the big London team 24-9.

Game 3 was a Saturday morning special against the West London Hawks.  The birds were a tough team with outstanding goaltending.  The Wolves squeaked out a 2-1 win, outshooting the Hawks 27-5.  This win gave the Wolves a by into the Semi Finals, starting Sunday Morning.

Game 4 Semi Final action against a team we know all to well....The big Hamilton Huskies.  The strong Huskies have had a very successful season as well and gave the Wolves a run for their money all season long.  In the morning special, the Wolves came to play with a convincing 6-3 win outshooting the Huskies 20-13.

Game 5 Alliance Championship Final - an emotional game against a well coached, talented team, the Sarnia Jr Sting.  The Sting wanted revenge and the Wolves were ready.  We went down in the second period 1-0, but like all great teams, we did NOT give up, we did NOT stop believing and we came back like a fury, winning 2-1 outshooting the Sting 19-12.

In a season that saw many successes, the young Wolves learnt to be great hockey players, great leaders, accountable, responsible and HARD WORKERS!  All qualities that will last forever as key life skills.  This will be a season we will not forget and NO ONE can take from us...because we are WOLVES for life.

Congratulations team, you deserve it!  Waterloo has some great talent for many years to come with this group!

Morty's Restaurant
Morty Taylor established Morty’s Pub on the corner of King Street and University Avenue in 1981. Back then the pub sat 76 people and quickly became a comfortable local hangout. On July 27th 2000, we moved to our current location. Movers weren’t in the budget, so the day before the big move, our family, friends, staff and loyal customers grabbed tables and chairs and walked the 300 or so steps up the street to where we are currently located (272 King Street North)
