PeeWee Black MD win 2nd at Milton MD/AE Classic
PeeWee Black won the semifinal game against George Bell Titans 2-1 this morning and lost the final against the Whitby Wildcats Blue 2-1 this afternoon.
Against George Bell Titans, A. Hoskins scored the 1st goal with 8:19 left on the clock in the second period. He was assisted by N. McPherson. R. Wicken scored on a breakaway in the same period, assisted by A. Hoskins. Great work by the defensive team with J. Hergott in net as George Bell didn't score until the last period with 2:42 left on the clock. Hardest worker award went to R. Wicken.
In the final game, the Whitby Wildcats Blue team scored 4 minutes into the first period. T. Carter tied it up in the second on a breakaway and Whitby scored the winning goal with 3 minutes left in the second period. This was pretty fast and furious hockey and PeeWee Black put up a good fight against this very aggressive team. Hardest worker award went to A. Hoskins.
Great playing for a brand new team with one practice under their belts.
The first division game will be against Stratford on Saturday, September 21 at 2 pm.
