Waterloo White overcomes some adversity to pull through with the tournament win!
Coming into the round robin, the Wolves faced a new opponent in the Burlington Cougars but were able to pull together a good win. The evening match up was against Paris Wolfpack who had a strong performance and handed us our first loss of the tournament. For our final round robin game, we faced our league foe Kitchener Red who battled hard to a tight win over our boys. Going the hard way, we entered into the quarter finals against another league foe - Brantford 99ers - but our young men had decided 2 losses was enough and came out strong and hard for the win. The semi final action was a repeat vs Kitchener Red and the boys earned their spot in the finals with a solid end to end win. Last up - the finals in an all Waterloo battle vs Black! Black jumped out to an overpowering start with lots of action in our end in the first and took the lead. However, our young men battled back through the 2nd and 3rd - retaking the lead and working hard for the win in a great game. Proud of you guys for the hard work, discipline in the quarters/semi's/finals, and awesome team play!
