Team of the Week - Waterloo Wolves MD Bantam White
The Waterloo Chronicle Team of the Week is the Waterloo Wolves bantam MD white team.The Waterloo Wolves bantam MD white team started its 2017-18 tournament circuit October 13-15 in St. Catharine’s, bringing home the championship cup from the John MacDonald Memorial tournament after a 2-0 victory against London Bandits in the final. The team went undefeated in round robin play, defeating West London Hawks 8-1, Woodstock Navy Jets 6-2 and Burlington Bulldogs 3-1. They met up with the Waterloo Wolves black team in the semifinals for a match-up where the white team came out ahead 3-1 paving the way to the finals. The final game was a nail-biter down to the final buzzer where the Waterloo Wolves held off a 6 on 4 with under a minute to go to take the championship 2 to 0. The coaching staff is extremely pleased with the teams hard work, determination and team play in every game. Josh Critchley had a solid performance over the weekend going 5-0 while giving up only five goals all tournament. The team has started the season 7 wins and 0 losses and looks to take their momentum into league play.
