Bench Banter: Get to Know Coach Best 🏒🔥
With over 30 years of hockey coaching and instructional experience, including 16 years coaching with Waterloo Minor Hockey, Greg brings a wealth of knowledge and leadership to the U14 BB program. Greg is an NCCP Development 1 certified coach, emphasizing skill development, teamwork, and a passion for the game.
His extensive hockey background includes serving as President of Waterloo Minor Hockey and Commissioner of the Greater Ontario Junior Hockey League (GOJHL), demonstrating his commitment to the growth of the sport at multiple levels. As a former player, Greg developed his game playing minor hockey at the AAA level in Markham (OMHA) and Toronto (MTHL), before attending St. Michael’s College School in Toronto.
His firsthand experience in high-level competition allows him to instill strong fundamentals and a competitive mindset in his players. With a focus on player and team development and fostering a love for the game, Greg is proud to continue contributing to the success of Waterloo Minor Hockey with the U14 BB team in 2025-26.
