MD Atom White vs Stratford Warriors
Team white earned their first road victory of the season with a 9 - 0 dominating performance.

The wolves kept their skates on the gas pedal as they ripped up the ice to earn this road victory. Gavin Wilson opened the scoring and picked up where he left off last weekend on a sweet tic-tac pass from Jake Millington and Jacob Stark. Gavin caught the goalie off guard as he wasted no time after getting the puck on his stick 1:30 seconds into the game. Less than 2 minutes later, Theo Wolfe sent Ethan Day into the defenders zone all alone making the score 2 - 0. Gavin Wilson picked up his second goal of the game and period as Luca Terrenzio stood up the driving Warrior winger and then dished the puck over to Gavin at centre ice. A couple of dance steps later and a move around the netminder had the boys up 3 - 0 at the end of the first.

Stratford came out strong in the second period as they tested the leather of Hunter Kechnie's glove. Hunter's cat-like reflexes kept the puck out of the net. Every time Hunter was tested, he sent the other team away empty handed. Late in the second, Jackson McNichol picked up the puck deep in his zone and fed the sprinting Jack Droumtsekas at centre ice. Jack weaved around one winger and then slid the puck over to Jake Millington. Jake buried the puck high stick side giving his team a 4 - 0 lead and a bit of breathing room.

Shortly into the third, Ethan Wasylyshyn jumped on the puck behind his own net and went "rink" to pick up the unassisted 5th goal of the game and Ethan's second goal of the season. At the 11:29 mark of the third, Zachary Cook and Quade Willson picked up their first assists on the night as they watched Finn Skuterud score making it 6 - 0. Theo Wolfe got in on the scoring action as he worked the give and go with his linemate Hunter McMurdo.  With 4:31 left in the game, it was Gavin Wilson's hatrick that caused a delay in the game as the officials had to pick up all 790 hats thrown on the ice. Finn Skuterud gave a no look, I can't see where you are but I knew you were there, pass to Gavin Wilson that set the hatrick up. To finish the game off, Zachary Cook assisted on Finn's second goal of the game and third point of the night as the wolves made it 9 - 0.

Great game boys. The defense really held the scoring chances to a minimum and stopped at least 6 odd man rushes by Stratford. Congrats on the first shutout of the season Hunter. Great passing, awesome skating and all round rock solid game boys. Keep it up as you head to London next weekend.
