🚨 Body Checking Clinics – FREE for Registered Waterloo Wolves Players 🏒💥

Waterloo Minor Hockey is excited to announce that we are offering 2 x Body Checking Clinics this season, delivered by Nexus Development.

These sessions are at no cost to all currently registered Waterloo Wolves players.

We are offering 2 x clinic dates/times - you do not have to attend both clinics,  attendance at 1 x clinic is required. The clinics are being held: 

1. Tuesday, September 23rd - 700-830pm ALBERT MCCORMICK -  EAST PAD
2. Friday, September 26th - 600-730pm RIM - LIONS PAD

Who Should Attend?

✅ Players born in 2012 or 2013
✅ Those currently playing in a division that includes body checking
✅ Players who may or wish to AP (Affiliate Player) to a division that has body checking

ALLIANCE Hockey Policy 📑

As per ALLIANCE Hockey policy, players must attend a body checking clinic before they are eligible to play or AP in a division that allows body checking. Our Waterloo Wolves clinics meet this requirement, ensuring that all participants are prepared, confident, and safe.

**If you had attended our clinic offered in the Spring of 2025, you are not mandated to attend this clinic**

Why Attend?

Learning how to give and receive a body check safely is a critical skill in competitive hockey. These clinics focus on:

✅ Safety First – how to protect yourself and others on the ice
✅ Confidence – building the right mindset for body contact situations
✅ Skill Development – technique, positioning, and awareness

  📅 Friday, September 26 – 6:00pm to 7:30pm @ RIM Park – Lions Rink

• Hosted by: Nexus Development

• Cost: 💯 FREE for Waterloo Wolves players

• Eligibility: Players born in 2012 & 2013

• Registration Limits: ⚠️ Limited to 25 skaters + 4 goaltenders per clinic (Registration link below).
  You only need to attend ONE clinic (not both).

• Additional Details: 📘 A pre-work component will be provided to all participants prior to the clinic date.
