U16BB - Update on Programming
To All U16 BB Players and Parents :

After careful consideration, the WMHA Rep Committee has made the decision on the next steps regarding U16 BB programming for the 2024-25 Season.

It is our goal to give as many players as possible the opportunity to participate in WMHA Representative hockey.

At present we have a couple of roadblocks to making a clear and confident decision about whether to have one team or two teams at this age group.

First of all, we are unsure of the number of goalies that are available for the teams. And secondly, we are looking for a second coach should we be able to field an additional team.

Our plan is to have U16BB Head Coach, Cam Day and a number of independent evaluators, facilitate the evaluations skates with the hope to gauge interest in the possibility of two teams. Coach Day will Coach one of the teams and another Coach will (hopefully) be named during the evaluation process.

We are confident that WMHA has more than enough great players at this level to field two teams; however, evaluation registration is key! Please don't forget to sign up for evaluations. CLICK HERE to access the registration portal.

Evaluations will start as scheduled on Tuesday May 7th 8.30pm at Waterloo Rec Centre.

Looking forward to seeing as many players as possible at the first evaluation.

Sincerely,

Peter Carr, President
On behalf of WMHA Rep Committee
