Wolves defeat Jr. Spitfires in ALLIANCE Wild Card battle
In an ALLIANCE wild card battle, Noah Bender was near-perfect in the crease as the U16 AAA Wolves rode past the Windsor Jr. Spitfires and punched their ticket to the 2022 OHL Cup!!

Splitting the regular season with the Spitfires, Waterloo forwards Isaiah Shantz, Colton Henderson and Stuart Sinclair scored three goals before Brayden Stumpf added an empty-netter to his two assists, clinching the 4-1 victory.

“We had a really good season as a team and unfortunately lost in the first round, but to come here and get a big Tuesday night win means a lot. We’re ready for tomorrow,” said Stumpf.

Brady Martin earned Player of the Game honours for Waterloo after handing his team their first assist of the night.

The Wolves return to the annual tournament for the sixth time in the past seven editions as they compete in the Shanahan Division alongside the Markham Majors, Quinte Red Devils, Huron Perth Lakers and the Thunder Bay Kings.
