ONTARIO RETURNING TO MODIFIED STEP 2 - ALL PROGRAMMING PAUSED
Submitted By Tracey Williams on Mon 01 03, 22
As per the announcement today from the Government of Ontario, the Province will return to a modified Step Two of the "Roadmap to Reopen", effective 12:01am on January 5th, 2022, due to the rapid spread of the Omicron variant.

Included in the closures announced are indoor sport facilities, which means a mandatory pause on WMHA programming beginning January 5th, 2022 at 12:01am until further notice.

We are assuming programming can continue today (January 3rd) and tomorrow (January 4th), as we have not received any specific directive from the City of Waterloo, stating otherwise.

We know this is disappointing for us all, but we remain hopeful that by putting these measures in place now, we can still have a meaningful season with lots of hockey left to play.

Please watch the website for updates.

Take care and stay safe!
