WMHA Accepting REP Coach Applications for 2022-23
Submitted By Ted Brewer on Sunday, December 19, 2021
WHMA is now accepting applications to coach REP (AAA, AA/A Seeded, MD) teams U10-U18

Deadlines for Applications:

AAA Jan 14/22
AA/A Jan 28/22
MD Feb 18/22

The key to success is coaching. We look for experienced coaches that are capable of managing all facets of a busy hockey team and season, the commitment is extensive. The WMHA Rep Committee and Board will make the decisions regarding the coaching positions. The Rep Committee employs a consensus-building approach to the selection process (please refer to the Coach Selection page in REP Manual). Voting takes place as necessary.

Applicants are asked to complete the online form available at the link below. Additional emails to committee members are strongly discouraged. The application has a number of detailed questions and you are encouraged to thoughtfully answer each item.

Selecting coaches is a time-consuming endeavour with the committee spending as much time as necessary to find the most qualified and capable individual for a particular team. All members of a coaching staff (head coach, assistant, trainer, and manager) must ultimately be approved by the WMHA Board of Directors. Coach Certification Requirements: AAA Coaches applying for U12 and U13 teams must have or be willing to acquire a minimum of DS1 certification (2 day training course). AAA Coaches applying for U14 or U15 teams must have or be willing to acquire the HP1 certification (1 week training course). All coaches require their Respect-In-Sport, Gender Identity, Planning a Safe Return to Hockey Course,  as well as a current Police Check.

Thank you in advance for your interest. Please click HERE to complete the application.
