WMHA - Return to Play *INFORMATION**
Submitted By Tracey Williams on Fri 08 28, 20
As we approach our “Return to the Rink” dates (tentatively mid-September for our Representative Teams and beginning of October for our House League and Initiation programs), we understand that our Families have concerns with what to expect when they enter the City of Waterloo Facilities and what key protocols will be followed, regarding Covid-19.

WMHA will be working with the City of Waterloo and following the guidelines and recommendations of the Province of Ontario, Region of Waterloo Public Health, Hockey Canada, the Ontario Hockey Federation and ALLIANCE Hockey in an effort to make the return to play as safe as reasonably possible for its participants.

All participants (including players, coaches and parents) will be required to follow these guidelines and to support and follow the policies and protocols of the City of Waterloo regarding social distancing, spectator group size limits, contact tracing and sanitization at all times while using arena facilities.

The City of Waterloo Covid-19 response information and procedures for visiting their Facilities, can be found here: https://www.waterloo.ca/en/living/covid-19-response.aspx

More details regarding the upcoming season – including start up dates, schedules, Covid policies and registration payments, will be posted on our website throughout the coming days/weeks.

In the meantime, an “FAQ” document regarding this upcoming season, was uploaded to our website last week. The link is here: https://waterloominorhockey.com/Pages/32724/FAQ/The link also appears along the top menu on the home page of the website, under “Return to Hockey FAQ”.

This document addresses information about our Return to Play policy, including that around protective measures for our Players and Families.

Please continue to visit our site regularly, as we go through the next two weeks. Updates will be posted as we receive information from the City of Waterloo and the Alliance/OHF.

Thank you for your patience.
