Mountain Wolves vs Cambridge Hawks Red
It was a game of Olympic proportion as the Mountain Wolves pulled off a come from behind win beating the Cambridge Red team 3 - 2.

The Mountain Wolves took a page from Team Canada in Sochi as they scored three consecutive goals to get a golden win against their Cambridge Red rivals.

The boys played a solid defensive first period only allowing two shots on net. It was a couple of costly turnovers in the second period that saw the team down 2 - 0 after two periods.

At the 4 minute mark in the third, defenseman Jake Patterson lead the rush up the ice. After crossing the blue line he let a shot on net fly that handcuffed the Cambridge goal tender. The puck sat off to the side. It was forward Declan Uniac that streaked in to slam the puck in the net bringing the Mountain Wolves within one.

Half way through the third, there was a mad scramble in the offensive zone as the Mountain Wolves were pressing their opponents. Cole Hunsberger received a pass from Thomas Chan to put the puck in the net. Cole Tiegs also picked up the assist on the game tying goal.

The turning point of the game came from a back check that Declan Uniac made to stop a possible breakaway attempt by Cambridge. That allowed the Mountain Wolves to score the game winning goal with 4 minutes to play in the third. Thomas Chan tried the wrap around attempt but saw his linemate Cole Hunsberger all alone. Thomas' pass threaded between the two defenseman's sticks to get to Cole.  It can be said that the roar of the crowd was so loud that it could be heard in Sochi.

Blake McLeod notched his third shutout of the season giving his team the chance to win.

Great Olympic size effort team! Enjoy the victory.
