Bears and Bruins Split Games on Sunday!
The Waterloo Bears and Bruins squared off against 2 teams from Kitchener on Sunday February 15th.  With many of the Bears away, they acquired the services of some Bruins to fill the roster.  The Bruins came out with a full squad in their game.

Sunday's games were a mixed bag as the Bears faced a tough opponent in the Kitchener Penguins losing 7-3. Goals came from Brady Meyer (2), and Patrick Wilson. The game was even through the first half with Kitchener finding their wings in the second half. Aaron Young and William Hehn were solid in the pipes facing a barrage of shots throughout the game.

The Bruins faced a less experienced team with a quick starting goal from Owen Miloje early in the first period. Jack McHugh stole the game in the second and third period with some great moves and a giant hat trick to finish a 4-1 win. Strong defensive efforts from Dell Wang, the Miloje twins, Rayne Benwell, Kiril Kenzap, Avery Townsend, and Wesley Sloss kept Kitchener's offense to a minimum. Griffin Roenspiss was solid in net in the first half with Jack Hergott earning the shutout in the second half.

Once again, our Waterloo boys and girls, continue to impress with their improvement!!

Way to go Waterloo!!
