Although the Bears lost 5-0 to a very large, strong and fast team from Kitchener on Sunday, they showed considerable improvement!! They played the Kitchener Mighty Ducks, who are a Tyke Select Team, participating in the Novice House League Division.
The last time they met in early January, the Mighty Ducks dominated the Bears by a score of 15-0!!
This time around, the Bears showed flashes of offense and if it wasn't for some posts getting in the way, this game could have been 5-3.
The Bears received amazing goaltending from the tandem of Griffen Sanderson and Sam Ferguson. Both goalies made some acrobatic and fearless saves, to keep them in the game.
There was also one other standout on Defense. Caleb Gawel showed extreme grit and determination and never gave up. He did an amazing job covering out front of our net and moving the puck up to the forwards.
Congratulations Caleb on being named the Super Wolf!!!
