The Waterloo Bantam AAA Wolves, after gaining a big 2 points in Kitchener Tuesday night, headed to Brantford to play the 99's at the "Gretz-Plex" Saturday night.
The Wolves got into penalty trouble and Brantford took advantage posting a 2-0 lead going into the third. After falling behind 3-0, the Wolves found re-newed energy, closing the gap to 3-2, on goals from Mitch Hoelscher but unfortunately, penalties and the clock were the ultimate enemy. Final score 3-2.
There were a lot of positives for Waterloo including firing 42 shots at Brantford's net. Penalties (10-3 in Waterloo's favour) played a role. Take the good with the bad, boys, and keep up the effort!

The Minor Pee Wee Wolves held off a very determined Lambton Jr Sting with a 6 - 5 win in Sarnia on Saturday. It was not the boys best effort of the year but they responded with a determined game Sunday against Huron Perth Lakers and slated off with a 4 to 4 tie to stay unbeaten to start the season. The highlight of this game was a Jacob Thompson goal on a penalty shot which excited the team and the fans.
Another tough weekend is on the schedule as the Wolves stay on the road Saturday to face the Elgin Middlesex Chiefs in Komoka and then finally back home Sunday against Cambridge Hawks.
