"The Revengers"
Novice Gold sits on top of second phase of Tier 1 after the first two weekends by getting revenge against teams that handed them losses in first phase of the season.

The Wolves opened the second phase of the season with a 7-4 win over Hamilton Black in Hamilton on Nov 11.  In a run and gun game, Hamilton jumped out to early 1-0 and 2-1 leads in the first, but the Wolves would battle back on a goal by Wyatt M. to take a 3-2 lead by the end of the first and extend the lead to 5-3 by the end of the second period.  Hamilton would creep back to 5-4 and threaten to tie the game but a big breakaway save by Ty B. would keep the Wolves in the lead until Colten T. would add two insurance goals to seal the win.

On Nov.12 the Wolves hosted Cambridge with a thumping.  The Wolves jumped out to a 5-0 lead in the first and didn't look back.  By the end of the second it was 7-0 and the Wolves would finish with a 9-0 win.  The "hound" line of Colten T., Liam C., and Cam M.  would register multiple goals, while Ryder H. would set up Hunter C. on more than one occasion.  Although Boyd S. did not get a lot of shots, the Wolves let him earn his shut out by allowing more than one breakaway for him to shut down.

The Wolves returned to Brantford on Saturday Nov. 18 looking for a better outcome than their last visit.  The Wolves came out hard in the first, but a stingy Brantford defence keep the Wolves off the board in the first period.  Ryder H. would rip one upstairs at the beginning of the second to give the Wolves the 1-0 lead but Brantford would battle back to make it 1-1.  The Wolves would regain the lead later in the second on the powerplay after Emre A. jammed in a Grayson P. point shot after just missing feeds from "buzzing" Lucas P. and Rohan J.  Brantford would bounce back to make it 2-2 with just under 3 min in the second.  Cam M. responded before the period was out to make it 3-2 heading into the third.  In the third, the Wolves had their own Christmas parade to the penalty box but would hang on for the 3-2 win.

The Wolves get a 2 week break from league play and their next game is not until Dec. 1 in the Northumberland Silver Stick Tournament.
