Welcome to the 2016-2017 Waterloo Wolves Atom Select Try-outs!
The 3 try-out times are as follows:
Saturday, October 1st 4:30-5:30pm Albert McCormick (West)
Sunday, October 2nd 8:30-9:30am Rim Park (Optimists)
Sunday, October 2nd 6:00-7:00pm Albert McCormick (East)
Player Selection:
We will be looking for players who are willing to bring their hockey skills to the rink, utilizing their strong work ethic and a desire to grow as not only a player but also as a teammate. A commitment to respect and sportsmanship will be required whether on or off the ice.
Releases:
We are still finalizing the number of players looking to try-out for the team this year. Once a clearer picture on numbers is available, an update will be provided on how this process will be handled. It will most likely include a combination of players being invited to continue on in the process via the website and face-to-face meetings.
We understand that this can be a very stressful time for both the players and their parents. We ask that you respect the process and the decisions made by the staff on team selection. We ask that you please wait for 24 hours prior to contacting us with any questions. We will be happy to provide feedback after the 24 hours has passed.
Upcoming Season:
Our home ice-time is generally Saturdays at 6pm at Albert East.
Regular season games are now being scheduled and will be posted on our team calendar shortly.
We hope to schedule 16-20 regular season games.
We will be looking to purchase additional ice for practices outside of our regularly scheduled ice time.
Tournaments:
We have been accepted into the Dan Pulham Tournament in London. This runs December 2-4, 2016.
We will also be applying for a tournament running January 13-15, 2017. This tournament will be an overnight tournament.
We will also have the year-end tournament scheduled in April 2017.
