MD Atom White vs Kitchener Jr Rangers Blue
Two late goals in the third left the wolves feeling blue as Kitchener escaped with a 5 - 3 win.

The boys had their hands tied in the first period as Kitchener poured on the attack every chance they got. The defense was solid in front of the net along with Austin Zapppitelli between the pipes. Ultimately, the boys found themselves in the hole 2 - 0 at the end of the period.

Though no scoring by either team in the second, Waterloo took it to Kitchener. They seemed to have scraped the ice off their skates and powered their way in Kitchener's zone for most of the period. Plenty of nifty breakout passes and hard skating yielded a flurry of scoring chances.

A minute and a half into the third, the wolves caught a break as Luca Terrenzio jumped on a loose puck in front of Kitchener's net and put the team on the board. Mid way into the third and some hard work let Theo Wolfe dish the puck over to Hunter McMurdo. Hunter flipped the puck 60 feet into the air, watched it hit the cross bar on the way down, bounce off the back of the goalie helmet and drop into the net. 12 seconds later on the faceoff, Ethan Wasylyshyn marched into the zone with Hunter McMurdo hot on his trail. The pass between the defender's skate and Hunter's tip into the net gave the boys a 3 - 2 lead with 7 minutes left to play. Two late goals by Kitchener put the game out of reach. Great effort boys.

Good luck next weekend on your home and home games with Cambridge.
