Game 4 @ Richmond Hill Stars
The Wolves went into the game with a semi-final date in mind as a win would guarantee their spot as the first place team after Round Robin play.

Not the start the boys wanted as a ping pong puck worked its way through a few skaters from behind the net and ever so slowly made its way across the goal line 29 seconds into the game.  The teams traded a couple of PP's to no end before the Stars took another penalty with less than 4 minutes in the first. A well control power play saw Waters hit the cross bar which landed on Flanagan's stick who made no mistake to tie the game up.

Wolves somehow managed a too many men penalty with 47 seconds left to go in the first. Proulx took a pass at centre ice and took off on a breakaway who deked out the Stars goalie and ripped a backhand into the net.  As he made his shot he was taken down and fell hard into the end boards.  All this happened with 1 second left in the period.  The drama was real!

Early in the second, Young had a great chance to add to the lead on a race for the puck at the top of the Stars face off circle.  Just as he got to the puck he BLASTED it with a hard high shot that rang so loud off the cross bar that the entire rink could hear it!  Late in the second the Wolves worked the puck down low as Edwards broke to the front of the net and shot 5 hole to beat the goalie.  Second period ended 3-1.

The Wolves kept the pressure on as they continued to work the puck down low and saw their hard work pay off. Babensee not once, but twice made a beautiful pass from down low out front to a waiting forward.  On that second attempt Edwards got the puck and immediately shot it 5 hole again for the 4-1 lead.

As through out the last 5 games, the boys played well defensively (and positionally) and didn't allow very many quality chances at their own net. Keep up that puck pressure!

Good luck in the Semi-Final!

Hardest Workers went to Young and Flanagan.
