With a win against Hamilton White on Saturday, the Waterloo Novice Red Wolves clinched a playdown position.
On Sunday, the Red Wolves locked up first place seeding by beating Hamilton Red.

4-1 Win Saturday over Hamilton White at Albert McCormick East
Pregame insults from the Hamilton squad had the Red Wolves fired up as the jumped out to an early 2-0 lead in the first minute of the game on goals by Emre A. and Colten T. Hamilton White would then slow the game day with chippy play, hard battles and fast rushes while the Wolves spent time killing penalties. Rohan J. would stretch the lead to 3-0 in the second, but Hamilton continued to push and finally manged to get a power play goal at the beginning of the third period. After much back and forth on the ice (and in the stands), Ryder H. was able to ice the game after being set up by Wyatt M. Colten T. took the hard hat for his aggressive work on the fore check and Mike B. took the lunch pail for stopping several Huskie rushes.
5-1 Win Sunday over Hamilton Red at Parkdale
The Red Wolves rambled into Hamilton to take on the Red Huskies Sunday morning. The Wolves got a slow start, with Daniel L-C keeping the score 0-0 until Rohan J. got the Wolves up a goal with some nifty work behind the net. Hamilton Red would come right back after some sloppy play by the Wolves and notch a breakaway goal to tie the game 1-1. At the end of the first period , the Wolves finally got back to Red Wolves hockey with pressure down low in the Hamilton zone. As a result, Boyd S. would get a puck on net from the point that found a way to give the Wolves the 2-1 lead going into the second. The Wolves would carry the momentum into the second period with Ryder H. stretching the lead to 3-1. The Wolves continued their strong play in the third with the Wolves defence returning to their stingy form. Colten T. would add 2 more goals to put the game away at 5-1. Lucas P. took the hardhat for buzzing around and giving the Huskies headaches, while Grayson S. took the lunch pail for strong two-way hockey. It should also be noted that "Brickwall" Ty B. closed out the weekend matching his mantra of "zero pucks across the line".
The Wolves travel to Cambridge next Saturday and host Woodstock on Sunday.
