This weekend in the Dofasco Select Tournament, the Wolves show just how much class they have.
After a strong start, defeating Cambridge 6 -1, the Wolves went down to defeat against the Dofasco Steelhawks in a game filled with questionable calls by the officials and taunting by the Steelhawks. The Wolves maintained their composure, not lowering themselves to "rise to the bait" thrown out by the Steelhawks.
In a "nothing game" against the Georgetown Raiders, the Wolves took it a bit too lightly and, despite out shooting Georgetown, came out the short end of a 6 - 0 score, the most goals they have allowed in a long time.

The rematch against Georgetown was a different matter with the Wolves dominating the play and out shooting the Raiders but ran into a stellar goaltender who's acrobatics frustrated the Wolves sharpshooters again and again.
A valiant last minute rush fell short and a 2 on 0 break away allowed the Raiders to gain a two goal lead with under 2 minutes to play.
Undaunted, the Wolves drove the Raiders net again and scored with under a minute to go to narrow the lead to 1 goal. That was it as the Wolves simply "ran out of gas" and fell 5 - 4 to the Raiders and were eliminated from the tournament.
Off the ice, the Wolves made their parents, coaches and the City of Waterloo proud in the way they dressed and conducted themselves at the rink, at the restaurants and at the hotel.
The Quality Hotel summed it up nicely in the following e-mail;
