3rd- Waterloo Wolves vs Fergus Fusion at AMCE
Well, another Saturday night at the arena! This time the heat was on… both on the ice and in the bleachers- the heaters were finally on. A sizable contingent of Wolves Select supporters was in attendance to enjoy the game. After being pinned in their end for an extended period, Fergus caught a lucky breakout and scored first, creating a little tension. However, this soon changed as Dawson F assisted by John M soared down the ice to score short handed. Fergus rallied back to even the game but the Wolves rebounded with Xavier L scoring the second goal, assisted by Tristan S. With the momentum growing, the Wolves pushed forward with Brody G scoring goal #3 assisted by Jeremy C. Wolves fans erupted in cheers of Water Water (well you know the rest). Fergus pulled their goalie with only seconds left in the game. Following a short, scary effort by Fergus, this week we managed to take advantage of the open net with Josh T poking it in with the help of Colin F and Braden M. The players were understandably excited and swarmed the goalie, Chris F with their win - thankfully no crush injuries have been reported. A great effort by the team!
