Convenor needed for Atom
As convenor you will be responsible for organizing the teams and informing the parents of upcoming events.
The convenor position is a great way to meet people and particapate in your child's hockey experience, if you are interested in becoming convenor please contact me or the WMHA office.
Some of the convenors responsibilities:
1. Select the coaches for each team.
2. Organizing the preseason evaluation drills used to determine each child's hockey abilities.
3. Help in the drafting of teams to create a balanced league.
4. Present awards at the Christmas and year end tournament
5. Inform the parents of what will happen throughout the season
6. Meet lots of great kids and parents
7. Have fun!
I have created a convenor handbook that will guide you through the year and let you know what needs to be done each month.
The 3 busiest times are
1. September - organizing coaches and evaluating kids
2. December - Christmas Tournament - help ensure the smooth running by getting volunteers for the tournament office.
3. March - Year end tournament - help ensure the smooth running by getting volunteers for the tournament office.
