Wolves Roll Over Mustangs
The late mid-week start sure didn’t affect the Waterloo Wolves Wednesday night in London as the team ran the score 7 to 1 against the GLHA Jr Mustangs White.

With Cole Ledgister and Riley Webster out of the line up due to suspension and Ben Yong still recovering from injury, the coaches decided to reward the players hard work by giving extra ice time in the game and not calling up any affiliated players for the game. The players responded with a character performance.

The scoring started in the second period with Declan Uniac potting the first goal from Cole Hunsberger. Matthew Ball scored from Uniac and Hunsberger before Hunsberger scored back-to-back goals from Jackson McNichol and the second unassisted.

In the third period McNichol scored from Jackson Andrews, Jackson Deitz scored from Hunsberger, and Griffin Beddis scored from Hunter McMurdo and Dietz.

The forwards continued to work hard and the constant back checking from Michael Wei, Ethan Wasylyshyn and Tim Hodson was frustrating the Mustang all game. Speaking of frustrating the Mustang, Cooper Gaul and Jaxon Broda made life difficult for their team and did an exceptional job in the Wolves end.

Jack Driscoll picked up another win and was a wall for his team. Driscoll covered up every loose puck and was nice and square to the shooter all game.

The win keeps the Wolves in the top spot undefeated on the season. The coaches are proud of the team’s effort, consistency and dedication to playing a suffocating style with high energy and tenacious hard hitting.

Go Wolves!
