MD Minor Bantam White vs Brantford 99er's White
The "Tauer of Terror" wreaked havoc and was instrumental helping his team earn a 2 - 2 tie late Sunday night!

Waterloo staked Brantford White to an early 1 - 0 lead in the first period. Both teams were battling hard along the boards ensuring that all shots on net came from a distance or a bad angle. The wolves had some very active sticks in their defensive zone as they never allowed the pass to get to it's intended target.

The second period went by in a flash with only four whistles throughout. Hunter McMurdo intercepted an errant pass in his own zone and rocketed up the ice on a breakaway. Brantford's goalie came up with a huge pad save at the last second to keep Waterloo off the score sheet. Jacob Tauer single-handedly stopped four attempts by Brantford to break into our zone. On one of those attempts, he jumped on the puck after poking it away and raced up the ice. His wicked snapshot just missed the top corner.

Tauer picked things up where he left off in the second period. On one play, he scooped the puck up on the blade of his stick, lobbed it 40 feet in the air, across the ice, to Lucas Skanes who caught the puck with the blade of his stick before gently dropping the puck to the ice. Lucas let a rocket of his own go that made its way through a crowd of bodies before it was deposited into the back of the net. A few shifts later, Tauer was in action again. He picked up the puck in the neutral zone where he passed the puck off the boards to himself. The mighty Keelan Ropp was all alone on the far side when Jacob dished the puck over. Ropp let a knuckler go from in close that gave the boys the lead for the first time in the game and Tauer the double assist on the play - (3 assists on two goals... nice job Jacob). Brantford snuck in a late goal to tie things up towards the end.

Good game boys. Good luck next weekend. Only 4 games to go before the end of the regular season.
