MD Minor Bantam vs London Bandits
Submitted By Mike Willson on Monday, October 28, 2019
The London Bandits thieved the win against Waterloo on Sunday by a score of 3 - 0.

Waterloo ended up on the wrong side of the scoreboard despite outplaying London. The loss stopped Waterloo's unbeaten streak at 99 consecutive victories. The pace of the first period was very fast and furious. Both teams hustled up and done the ice yet no one could get on the board. The first period ended 11 minutes after it started with on two stoppages in play for icing.

Waterloo stepped on the gas pedal in the second and had a few excellent scoring opportunities that failed to see the puck cross London's goal line. London stole the first goal of the game on a broken play that saw the puck get tipped in at the last second.

Waterloo kept the pace up throughout the third period. Attempt after attempt went unrewarded. At one point, Waterloo threw the kitchen sink on the ice but that too failed to get the boys on the board. Waterloo pulled the goalie with less than 2 minutes to go. A lot of patience was shown as Waterloo passed the puck around like a game of keep away. Finally a blistering slapshot made its way past London but narrowly missed the far side.

Nice effort boys, keep it up.

Good luck against the other London team next weekend.
