PeeWee MD Black beats Burlington Bulldogs Red
For the third time, Waterloo Wolves won over Burlington Bulldogs Red, this time at Appleby Arena, on Sunday February 23.

Burlington came out strong and scored a goal 1 and a half minutes into play. R. Kropf scored an answering goal with 6:46 left in the first, assisted by N. McPherson and C. Gawel.

D. Banjo scored early in the second period. J. Silver and J. Hergott switched goalie duties back and forth. The second period was fraught with Waterloo penalties. With 2 players in the penalty box, a scuffle in front of the net produced another Waterloo penalty. Luckily, the team hustled and killed that penalty dead.

It was 2-1 starting into the third.

With a Burlington penalty, Wolves pulled the goalie on the power play and N. Hepditch wound up and scored with a slapshot that sent players on both sides scurrying out of its blast.

Waterloo pulled the goalie on a  powerplay and Hepditch scored with a Slapshot at 7:45. T. Carter scored the last goal with 2 minutes left on the clock and Waterloo won 4-1.

D. Banjo earned the hardest worker award.

PeeWee MD Black have advanced into second place in the PeeWee MD second tier standings.
