Win for White
It was a tough battle against Waterloo Black; however Waterloo White earned 2 points with a win, putting them in second place in their division.
It was evident that both Waterloo teams came out to win by the level of play and intensity during the game. White would need to keep the petal to the metal; skating hard and shooting often, to keep the pressure on the Waterloo Black team. Both teams were aware of their playoff position coming into the game and knew that every point was important. In the final minutes Black pulled their goalie in a last ditch effort to make White scramble but the players stayed focused and played some excellent defence. As the forwards cleared the puck from our zone in the few remaining seconds the spectators cheered for Waterloo White who had won by a slim margin of 1-0. In the end it was the 2 point victory that was the most important for the Wolves knowing that they would build on this in their final games of the playoff round. Good luck White as you face off against Brantford 99ers and Hamilton Red in the days to come!
