Food and Fund Drive
Right now, community support is urgently needed to feed people in need this holiday season. With 1 in 20 households in Waterloo Region counting on the food bank, chances are good you know someone who will need food assistance in the weeks ahead. The boys of the Waterloo Wolves Minor Bantam Black team are holding a “Food and Fund Drive”.

Collection can begin right away. A flyer has been sent out that the boys can distribute throughout their neighbourhoods. We suggest would be to distributing flyers this weekend with a collection date of the next.  This will allow people to gather items and leave them on their porch if need be.  Perhaps the boys could do this in groups based on where they live.

To encourage the the boys to actively participate, we are making the collection a competition.
Forwards vs. Defence.  At the end of our drive there will be a “weigh off” to determine who the winners are.

Our drive is set to end on Saturday December 15th.  Our final collection will be at our game against Cambridge on that day.   We will be charging an entrance fee of a food donation.

If anyone wants to make a financial contribution they can do so at https://www.thefoodbank.ca/donate/.  In the comments section, please have your donors say that it is for the Waterloo Wolves Minor Bantam MD Black food drive. This way they know where to direct the donation.

Happy Collecting!
