The Season Begins!
The Wolves started the season last weekend with a very convincing win over the Junior Rangers (Red).

This weekend we headed to Belleville for the AE Pre Season Tilt tournament.

Our opening game was against the host town Jr Bulls. Despite playing a great game, we ran into penalty trouble throughout the 3 periods and ended up losing 1-0.

In the second game we played against the Cumberland Jr Grads.  We put 42 pucks on their net and managed to slip 2 past their goalie.  Our defensive play was outstanding and we held them to a single goal for a 2-1 win.

On Friday evening, we did a little team bonding with a pizza party
and birthday celebration for one of the Wolves. It was a lot of fun.

In our first game on Saturday we were matched against the Peterborough Petes.  Our boys came out flying and after the first period we were up 2-0.  Another great effort in the second put us up 4-0 and we finished the game with a 5-0 win.

Between games on Saturday the team got together for lunch at Shoeless Joes.  The boys were well behaved and represented the Wolves with the highest standards!

In the final game of our round robin play we were paired up with the Newmarket Redmen (White).  The Wolves skated hard for all three periods.  The final result was 8-2 for Waterloo.

Points were given for each period and the game result. At the end of round robin play we finished in first place and headed for the semi-finals on Sunday morning.

In the semi-final game we were matched up against the Ottawa West Golden Knights.  The first period was fairly uneventful and the score remained at 0-0.  In the second period the Knights put the pressure on.  The score after 2 periods was 4-1 for Ottawa.  The third period continued the same as the second and the final score was 6-1 for the Knights.

Highlights from the weekend include:

1) Every forward for the Wolves scoring a goal
2) Only giving up 4 goals in the 4 round robin games
3) Coach Graham getting a selfie with Daniel Alfredsson (who was coaching one of the Major Atom teams).

The coaches were very proud of each and every Wolf this weekend.   We have a lot to look forward to this season!
