A Weekend of Hidden Successes
The Wolves visited Stratford this weekend in an early season tournament close to home. Friday would see the boys go 0 for 2 in round robin play with losses to the home town Stratford Warriors 4-2 and the Cambridge Winterhawks 3-0. Saturday morning would again see challenges for the boys as they fell 2-0 to the Brantford 99'rs.

As this team is assembled of several new players for this season we knew the challenge would be tall to get everyone playing together and tuned up which was the point of entering this tournament. All three games would see the Wolves play some great defensive hockey with no lack of hard work and committment from every player, but the challenge seemed to be scoring. Saturday evening would bring on the unbeaten London Bandits, this was sure to be an uphill battle for the boys in black. After falling behind 3-0 early on the Wolves seemed to snap out of their goal scoring rutt and begin to find thier offensive stride coming back to tie the Bandits 4-4. Although the scoreboard did not show it much over the weekend these boys worked hard every shift of every game. With new linemates feeling out each other's strengths and styles things started to click with every new shift. Each and every player has brought something to the table for this team and as we tune things up and work out the kinks we expect great leaps and bounds in growth and improvement in the coming months as we work together to get better and better.

We look forward to the coming weeks and what new successes each game will bring!

Hope to see you all at the rink!
