Minor Atom MD Wolves Move On to the Finals!
The Minor Atom MD Wolves won another close one in game two of the their series against the Brantford 99ers - This series win has qualified the Wolves for the Tier 1 Alliance Championships in London taking place April 12-14!

The action got started in the first period when Callum T rushed at full speed with the puck down the wing, gaining a step on the defender and putting a nice shot past the goalie on the close side.  The Wolves would play another period and a half of hard hockey, putting nice pressure on the 99ers, but unable to further capitalize.  As the third period got under way, the 99ers would seek to change the momentum, and change it they did.  Brantford would play an aggressive offensive attack, leaving the Wolves desperate to simply clear the puck out.  It didn't take long before the extra offence paid off, as the 99ers would tie it up early in the third and would attempt to keep the pressure on. For the next 5 minutes, the Wolves did the best they could given five 99ers coming at them from what seemed to be everywhere.  Finally, the Wolves would get a clear breakout, with the puck ending up on Ryan P's stick in the neutral zone.   Ryan P patiently stick handled until he could get an open shot, and he would make no mistake about it, burying it top corner from the hash mark, and that's how the game would end.

The boys now await the result from the other semi-final series between Kitchener Red and Kitchener Blue.  The final play-down series before the Alliance Championship will crown the East/Central Champion.  Although both teams will move on to the championships in London, a series between the Wolves and the Jr Rangers is not something to be missed.  The good people of Kitchener will always be our neighbor and friend, but put us on the ice, and it's game on!
