Fourth Tournament, Fourth Championship Final on a Sunday Winning the Silver Medal in the Kanata Capital Winter Classic!
The Midget AA team competed in its fourth tournament – the annual Kanata Capital Winter Classic, and its fourth championship final winning the silver medal on Sunday, January 6th.

The team faced good competition in the tournament, beating West Hill Golden Hawks, Eastern Ontario Cobras, Nepean Raiders (ranked 6th overall provincially) and North Durham Warriors in pool play, and Kanata Blazers in semi-final action.  Waterloo played Ottawa (ranked 3rd provincially) in the final game.  Ottawa dominated the first seven minutes of play until Waterloo found a way to compete with this strong team.  Early in the second period Waterloo was up by a goal scored by Zach Gladding from Brock Krulicki and Ethan Hepditch.  This lead lasted until the last second of the second period during a penalty kill when Ottawa evened things up.  Late in the third period after killing a couple of penalties, Ottawa scored in the last 3 seconds of the game to win the final. Special mention to both Zachary Gladding and Brock Krulicki for strong individual performances throughout the tournament and winning the MVPs for the team in the final and semi-final respectively. Waterloo Wolves Midget AA team players should be very proud of another great tournament!!  The team is looking forward to the rest of the season and to playoffs!
