First win of the season for Peewee Wolves.
Led by strong goaltending and timely goal
scoring, the peewee Wolves came away with their first win of the season on
Saturday.
Waterloo came out flying, controlling the pace of play, and racking up the scoring chances. The Wolves climbed to a 3-0 lead with goals from #7 and two from Sebastian B, including a bank shot from behind the net off the goaltenders leg. We controlled the game through two periods and looked poised for a decisive victory. However Centre Wellington had different ideas and came out determined in the 3rd, resulting in two late goals. Thanks to strong team defence and timely goaltending by Matthew R. we were able to secure the victory.
The Wolves finished their weekend with a spirited practice on Sunday and looked prepared to howl at the Fall Fusion Frenzy tournament next weekend.
