4 Points for the Weekend
Four points was just what the Wolves were hoping for this weekend and that is what they earned after two tough battles. Friday's games proved to be a test of patience and determination while Saturday's game was a demonstration of skill and team work.

The Waterloo Wolves battled through three periods of penalties Friday night, in Cambridge, to earn themselves a win against the Hawks. It was certainly a challenge, however Waterloo continued to press in the Cambridge zone, breaking down their defence, allowing for two perfectly placed goals by our forwards. Many times the Wolves found themselves in a 3 on 5 battle where our own line of defence stepped up to protect our net. Great goal tending by #33 Obermayer kept us in the game, making amazing saves helping us to a 2-1 win over Cambridge.
Saturday's game vs Brantford was a great display of Waterloo's talents. The Wolves pressured the 99ers, skating with determination and passing with accuracy. Many unselfish plays by the Waterloo team as they set up teammates for scoring chances. Williams #7, played with a purpose Saturday, starting the scoring for the Wolves. Power play goals worked in Waterloo's favour as McMurry, #77 scored from the point and #2 Hancock took advantage of Brantford being short a man to place one perfectly in their net. The 99ers were feeling this intensity and in the final minutes, pulled their goalie in an effort to try and balance things out. Once again the Wolves found the back of the net, this time an emptynet as #19 Bosomworth raced for the puck and managed to tip it in front of the Brantfor players. Great game Waterloo!
