Atom Wolves Black; Fire to Foodbank Campaign
It was a great night to get into the giving spirit the past Wednesday night when the Wolves ascended on the Waterloo Fire Headquarters in Waterloo. The boys had set out with a goal to raise 2000 meals for families in need in our community. After much hard work and many players going above and beyond to blast the number to over 4 times our goal rounding out at 8033 meals.

Through the coordination of Chief Richard Hepditch coupled with the hard work of many of our team moms this drive was a shining success. Top achievers included Michael Ewart, Daniel Krueger, Nick Hepditch, and Jack Cumming, with all boys venturing out into their neighbourhood to canvas for donations. It was such a great feeling knowing our players were learning so much about supporting the community that supports their love for the game of hockey. Our visit to the station was a great opportunity to peek into the world of firefighting and learning about the trucks and tools. Many thanks to firefighter Aaron for his great magic tricks, Senior Captain Matt Wells, and firefighters Matt, Mike, and Kevin for the great tours and help loading all of the food into the truck for shipping to the foodbank. We are truly blessed to have these fine gentlemen ready to save lives in our community whenever called upon!
